Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

We have had a nice push of fish over the last three days here in Fort Lauderdale South Florida and we predict the fishing to stay consistent for another 4 to 5 days. Currently, we are catching Sailfish, Mahi, King Mackerel, Sharks and Cobia offshore Ft. Lauderdale. There had been bait staying on our reefs and wrecks off the Fort Lauderdale coastline. The bait concentration will keep the predatory fish in and around the these areas for as long as the bait are here. We had heavy winds and strong current that pushed from Palm Beaches through Fort Lauderdale and down to Miami. This caused all the fish to start to move south and the baist were carried in the current as well as schooled up in and around the wrecks. This in turn is the recipe for a good week of fishing.
So far, the charter boat Happy Day Today has caught 6 Sailfish, a pile of Mahi and a pile of Kings, half dozen Barracuda, and a bunch of Bonitas. There have been sharks in 350 feet of water and in 150 feet of water. The Cobia have been mixed in the bag averaging 10 to 18 pounds, and we have been catching the Cobia on the wrecks.
