Ann Marie Suriani from New Jersey was celebrating her birthday by chartering the Topshotfishing team to do some deep sea big game sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It was a beautiful day here in Fort Lauderdale with very a pleasant temperature. Ann Marie has gone on many fishing excursions on the coast of New Jersey and was looking forward to fishing in Fort Lauderdale.

Fifteen/twenty minutes after leaving the dock, we were deep sea sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale by the sea buoy, 1.8 miles from shore, in 120 ft. of water. We started out trolling with two plainers down and sea witches with a double hooked Bonito strip behind them. For top baits, we went with four Bonito strips. We zig-zagged back and forth over the reefs, from 80 ft. of water out to 170 ft, catching Bonitos.

I could see to the east of Fort Lauderdale a color change in the water, and I headed out towards that area. As we trolled the color change area, Ann Marie had her hands full with catching one fish after another. She caught a total of three Bonitos, three Mahi Mahi's and ten Tunas – Great job Ann Marea and Happy Birthday!! She replied that this is one of the best birthday gifts ever!!!!

With a happy angler aboard the boat, it was time to head back to the dock. Ann Marie retired into the a/c salon and enjoyed the relaxing trip back to the dock at Bahia Bar located at 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale 33316.
