Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

The fishing on the Fort Lauderdale reefs is excellent this week. The dolphin are coming in on the reefs and biting pretty good. We've caught dolphin on almost every trip this week. Mostly schoolie size dolphin are biting, but there are a few bigger ones mixed in. We caught this 30 pound cow on one of our drift fishing trips this week. The sailfish are also biting great, which we are catching by either trolling or kite fishing. Yesterday afternoon's drift fishing trip also caught a 55 pound wahoo. There are some nice fish biting on and outside the reefs.

Fort Lauderdale Fishing Forecast:

The sailfish bite should continue strong for the next couple of months, through January. Last year, the mahi-mahi bite was awesome through December, so I am hoping for a repeat of last year in regards to the mahi. Scattered cobia, blackfin tuna, and wahoo will also be biting here and there for lucky anglers. Good luck fishing everyone.
Target Species:

Mahi-mahi, dolphin, sailfish, wahoo
