Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

This morning the east wind finally picked up and brought some real fish around at least it brought it around to the Reel Appeal! We had two buddies who were locals charter us again and boy were they glad they did. We landed a few Bonito's, small kingfish and then a monster dolphin off the bow of a ship!

It was a beautiful thing. Dolphin on the troll. Mate Jeff's specialty! proved to be a successful morning.
In the afternoon we had a family from Denmark on vacation charter us and they had a blast! Even the 8 month old baby showed physical sign of enjoyment. Dad did all the catching. we live baited bumping bullets around and at last dad faught a monster kingfish and landed it after 30 minutes. It ran 4 different times. Fun fight!

We continued bumping around and just as hope was draining from Captain Kunta's mind Mate Jeff spotted none other than a Sailfish tailing towards the bait. Dad faught the sailfish for 45 minutes and Mate Jeff brought in the huge Sailfish for pics and released him to fight another day.

All in all it was a good day of fishing for the Reel Appeal and it's guests. For fishing information or for tips for when you get out there call 954-638-6353
