Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Our Pittsburgh boys are back in town! We headed out around 8am with some overcast and a little wind to west periodically. We headed offshore in search for some swordfish action out in 1800 that has been snapping like crazy the last two weeks. Unfortunately the radio was pretty silent. Not even a single bite broadcasted. Luckily for us towards the end of our time out in 1800 the Danimal spotted a huge dolphin swimming towards the boat. The frenzy began! Since Danimal was up on the fly bridge it was up to Captain Kunta to grab a spinner rod and pilchard and pitch it to the dolphin. Instantly he found it and swallowed the pitch bait.

Out of the right the Danimal spotted another dolphin! Again, Captain Kunta rushed another spinner and pilchard to the dolphin closing in on what was later to be found the two Dolphins were in fact mates.

That's right a cow and bull couple!

The Pittsburgh boys had a blast fighting their Dolphins! They'll be back in a few weeks to try again for their swordfish! For fishing information or tips for when you get out there call 954-638-6353.
