Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Hey everyone capt. Vinnie here, this week we have a great fishing report for you, so we are going to get right into it, the fishing has been absolutely fantastic and also great weather this week also, lets start out with some of the daytime fishing, the kingfish bite has been great while trolling using planners and seawitches we have been limiting out on kingfish almost every trip, there has also been some very good tuna fishing as well, the big tunas we have been waiting for are here! The best way to catch them has been using live bait in the early mornings or late afternoons some of the tunas have been in upwards of 25lbs an absolute great fight! For daytime fishing as well there has been some a good bottom bite for assorted bottom fish like vermillion snapper and some grouper, the grouper season just opened and they are biting on some of the shallow shipwrecks off the Fort Lauderdale coast.
Night fishing has been great as well for yellowtail snappers as well as a few mangrove snappers and mutton snappers we have been doing very well on the snappers fishing the reef at night and chumming heavily, the yellowtail snappers have been averaging 1-3lbs, we have been limiting out on snappers almost overnight we have been going out, if snapper fishing is not your thing and you would like to target something a little bigger the shark fishing this time of year is a great alternative for someone looking to catch something a little larger plenty of lemon shark as well as sandbar sharks on the reef right now as well!
Plenty of action right now to say the least from daytime tuna to night time snapper and shark, plenty of options for some great fishing. all you have to do is give us a call to get out there so why wait the time is now! This is the spring time fishing we have been waiting for all year!
This week we have some great photos of recent catches so make sure to check those out and hopefully we will see you soon!
