Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report
Fort Lauderdale Fishing in February has been pretty good so far, while the lack of cold fronts have not pushed the sailfish through in great numbers there are still more than enough around to warrant targeting. However wahoo fishing has been fantastic the last couple months and into February. We've been catching average size wahoos trolling spoons, strip baits and ballyhoos on the deep planer rods but our larger 40# plus fish have fallen victim to live bullet bonitas fished with a stinger rig. Amberjacks have begun to show on the deeper wrecks and as always prove to be a tough adversary. They will push you to your limit! Mahi fishing has begun to pick up and we look forward to increased catches the middle of the month on. Larger blackfin tunas and some big kings are showing up as well!! If youre really looking for a battle the hammerhead sharks are here as well begging you to try your luck.
