Fishing charters in Fort Lauderdale

Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

The last several days have been tough offshore here with catches being very light. The fish have been playing very tough to get. The beautiful catch and release Sailfish pictured here with Anne took a very long time to locate and I'm not sure if he located us or Captain Kopper had a horseshore (at the least a rabbit's foot) hidden away. The few fish landed by boats in our area as well as other charters above and below us have certainly been elusive. Reclusive would fit too. Anne was joined aboard by her Dad and their trip to Ft. Lauderdale was a celebration of his birthday.

The weather has been all over the dial but is now back to a slightly wicked 90 degrees, but accompanied by clear skies and minimal winds. Clean clear water and good north current are often a big plus offshore but that wasn't the case the past few days. Patience and persistence paid off for Anne and that will be us as we head offshore again tomorrow, persistent and patient,with a new charter and a new day. Every day is a new day, and we look forward to and are thankful for the opportunity to enjoy Mother Nature and her ocean. Here's hoping the fish as all in. Tight lines, see you on the rip.
