Fishing charters in Ft. Lauderdale late September

Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

We now find ourselves looking at the tail end of September. Beautiful "Chamber of Commerce" practically perfect weather on our fishing charters in Ft. Lauderdale and it's hard to believe that we are officially into the fall season. 90 degrees for the high today with that sea breeze continuing to begin to blow lightly mid morning with only the slightest ( and welcome) increase in velocity. Lots of sun, lots of blue skies with almost no rain expected in the days ahead. Very few scattered and very small showers with almost all of them fizzling out within a couple of minutes if they don't fizzle out before they reach us. And good numbers of fish are biting in the same patterns as late summer fishing here in Ft. Lauderdale. So while it may be officially fall on our calendars the fish remain in their summer mode. So for now we continue to regard trolling as the best way to get the most bites and the best numbers of fish on the end of the lines. We have dropped some live baits to or near the bottom on wrecks and structure for Snappers and various species of Jacks, but trolling dead and artificial baits individually or paired together continues to get the most attention as we move in and out and across the reef line out front of our inlet, which continues to hold fish.

Please enjoy the photos of anglers who we have recently had the pleasure of spending time with here aboard the Marlin My Darlin. Fishing remains good and a wide variety of species of fish continue to be available here. T shirts, sunscreen, and a hat as we like to say. Leave the sweater or windbreaker in the closet as only the calendar says we are into the fall.
