Fishing with our new friends from Oklahoma

Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

This morning we had a blast fishing with Brain and his wife Sonya from Oklahoma along with Jim also from Oklahoma.
We started out trolling with 3 baits skipping across the surface and 2 lines running deep on our planner lines.
At fist the bite was slow but as we worked our way to the north trolling from 100 to 180 feet of water we found a nice edge where to currents meet and finally we started getting bites.
After we caught a couple king fish along with a couple bonitos we decided to switch over and bring in the trolling gear and sent out some live baits and started slow trolling them on this nice edge we had found and BAM we ended up catching a few more fish including this nice bull Mahi Mahia caught by yep the lady in the house.
