Fishing With The Stars
Today we set out fishing with Luna and her son Sam along with her daughter Lizzy from Boca Raton Florida. Along with her famous sister in law Emma Slater star and one time first place winner of Dancing With The Stars.
We could not have asked for a better day the seas were calm and the sun was shinning.
We trolled the reef with 2 baits running deep and 3 baits skipping across the surface.
Today our surface baits paid off with a couple black fin tunas along with bonitos and one nice barracuda and a small but legal mahi.
Sam way to go with that nice tuna!!
Once we got back to the dock we cleaned the tunas and got ready for our afternoon trip.
We had Mitchell and Mitchell Bruce, CJ and our special angler (Who never left the rod) Alex all from Coral Springs Florida.
And while yes we did have a star out fishing with us this morning we just so happen to have a SUPER STAR aboard this afternoon Lieutenant Mike from the New York Police Department. Mike Thanks so much for hanging in there and helping to keep the streets safe!!!!
While fishing was a bit slow this afternoon we did still manage to catch a few more fish and with Alex standing by his rod landed the biggest tuna of the day!! Way to go Alex.
Than we dropped a shark bait up stream of a shipwreck and within minutes we were Hooked up.
After a 20 min back and forth tug a war caught this 5 to 6 foot reef shark.
After a couple pictures we got the hooked out and watched him swim away in good shape to fight again another day.
Once again I would like to thank all of our anglers for fishing with us aboard the Hooked Up off the coast of Fort Lauderdale.
