Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Many families, when visiting Fort Lauderdale, are looking for activities to do AS a family and one of those activities is going charter fishing. It's something that can be done as a family, everyone together and participating in the same event. This was certainly the case when Stefan, Sophie and their 2 boys, Adrian and Victor, were aboard the other day all the way from France.
Adrian, the youngest, was the one that REALLY wanted to be fishing but the entire family enjoyed being on the boat and out on the water. A beautiful day, with the sun shining and fairly calm seas left us looking for some fun.
Some small Blackfin Tuna were caught and a King or 2 but the real thrill came from this Sailfish pictured with Stefan. As always when trolling, each line must be cleared to make way for these jumping fish, they can get tangled easily in other lines leading to a not so great ending. This fish was boated, photographed and released in good form… High 5's all around.

Back to fishing and something was on one of the deep rods. We slowed to retrieve it and another Sail jumped on the high line. Sophie was up and did a great job of landing her fish, somewhat smaller in size. Stephan made me mention that.
All in all, a fun afternoon for this family from France charter fishing off Fort Lauderdale, FL.
