Ahoy, fishing enthusiasts! Welcome to the latest fishing report from the Marlin My Darlin Fleet, based right here in beautiful Fort Lauderdale. As we wrap up an incredible month of May, we're thrilled to share the highlights of some fantastic catches and memorable moments out on the water.

**Mahi-Mahi Mania**
This May has been nothing short of amazing, especially for those targeting mahi-mahi. The offshore waters, ranging from depths of 500 to 900 feet, have been bustling with life. Large patches of sargassum seaweed have become havens for schools of mahi-mahi. While most of the mahi-mahi are on the smaller side, we've celebrated landing some impressive ones, weighing up to 25 pounds!

**Surfacing Sailfish and More**
Trolling along the reef in the afternoons has consistently yielded excellent results, with a bounty of King mackerel, more sizeable blackfin tuna than usual, and a noteworthy presence of sailfish. Thanks to the strong Gulf Stream currents, live bait kite fishing has enhanced our sailfish encounters over the past three weeks.

**Shark Adventures**
For those seeking an adrenaline rush, shark fishing has been phenomenal this month. We've proudly released over a dozen trophy-sized hammerheads, encountered giant tiger sharks, and even crossed paths with several bullish beauties. Spring is certainly prime time for shark action!

**Bottom Fishing Challenges**
Bottom fishing has posed a challenge due to the mighty Gulf Stream currents pushing in closely, complicating things around our smaller snapper spots and larger shipwrecks. On the days when conditions allowed, we've had success landing big amberjacks, a couple of true red snappers, and even a giant Cubera snapper.

As we look forward to the months of June and July, known for prime fishing here in Fort Lauderdale, we invite you to join us for more thrilling adventures on the water. Whether you're a seasoned angler or a beginner eager to learn, we're here to make your fishing dreams come true.
