Fort Lauderdale Fishing

Capt. Mike Johnson
November 10, 2008
Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Sailfish bite begins with onset of first coldfront. Sailfish have already begun to show this month with a couple of hot days with multiple bites and fish. Frank and Jimmy went two for four on sails with us just a couple of days ago. We first missed a fish trolling and then hooked two just after that, catching one. We then put the live baits out and caught one more. What a great day. We also had Frasier, Jason, and Vince from Virginia and Tampa on the 8th. While fishing sloed down a bit we ended up with three real nice mahi mahis, five tilefish and a snowy grouper great day guys see you soon.

Fort Lauderdale Fishing Forecast:

Look forward to more sailfish action as the winter months progress. Live baiting with kites is the preferred method and it works great!

Target Species:

Sailfish and Mahi mahi
