Fort Lauderdale fishing

Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Fall fishing patterns are taking place now with the passing of a couple of frontal systems through our Fort Lauderdale fishing areas. Cooler weather and associated winds have gotten some fish moving into our area and we have been fortunate to land some really nice fish. If you aren't here in town now as a local or visitor it's a great time to be here. Uncrowded beaches, few boats on the offshore waters, and on many (not all) days uncrowded highways. Little rain, and not a single snowflake........

Some Sailfish pushing down the outside edge of the reef. Catch and release. Some very fine Groupers continue to bite along with Jacks on those mid range wrecks we mentioned in our previous report. Blackfin Tunas off the edge but close to shore and always a chance for a Wahoo on any charter. Don't leave a hooked King or Bonito out there too long as there are decent sharks in the area as well as some smaller ones too. Memorably beautiful baby Tiger Shark today, little bitty vividly colored guy. Little brother to the ones we have seen recently. Finger biter size. Nice colors on the pictured Groupers, they get invited aboard. Enjoy the photos of anglers and their fish who joined us on Marlin My Darlin
