Fort Lauderdale Fishing on Happy Day Today with Capt. Zsak

It was another beautiful day here in sunny Fort Lauderdale FL. Mr. Hidp from Houston, Texas and four friends chartered the Happy Day Today along with the Topshofishing team to do some deep sea fishing. Our request this time was for eating fish, so after leaving the dock, 15 minutes later we are on the edge of the drop off in Fort Lauderdale sitting in 120 ft. of water. We had two plainers down, one with a 3 ½ blue reflector spoon and the other with a black and purple sea witch in front of a double hook Bonito strip. For surface baits, we had two Ballyhoos, two Bonito strips and a blue and white jap feather.
As we started trolling the reef, our first strike was a Kingfish. From there we trolled to the north zig zagging back and forth from 80 to 200 ft. of water, picking away at a couple of more Kingfish and a Barracuda. I trolled out to deeper water from the 300-450 ft. range – the past few days there were Black Fin Tunas in this depth. Our next fish was a nice size Mahi Mahi – 11 lbs. Afterwards we started catching Black Fin Tunas ranging from 4-10 lbs, and wound up with a total of six, which made for great sushi that night.
This ends another successful and adventurous deep sea fishing charter on the Happy Day Today with the Topshotg team and Captain Zsak out of Fort Lauderdale FL - 954-309-7457 – www.topshotfishing.com
