Fort Lauderdale Fishing Is Hot

Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

NOVEMBER RED HOT FISHING

November 26, 2012

High winds and heavy seas out of the northeast really put a damper on the Thanksgiving fishing. Few anglers were willing to brave the elements, choosing football and turkey instead. The wind completely died the past few days which flattened out the seas, but also slowed the fishing. On top of that we have had a full moon which also slows the bite. Regardless, we have caught some sailfish both live bait trolling and live bait kitefishing. The wind is expected to pick back up out of the north/northeast which should kick up the bite once again.

Just before the full moon, the Lady Pamela sportfishing fleet was catching wahoo, kingfish, and mahi-mahi on fresh ballyhoos trolled from 400 to 700 feet of water. We also were landing a few small blackfin tunas. The driftfishing has been good with lots of big trigger fish being caught. We have also been bring in some kingfish and lots of yellowtail snapper between 50 and 150 feet of water. Now that all the turkey leftovers are gone it's time to put some fish on the table. This weekend will be good sportfishing weather; so give us a call.
