Fishing has been keeping the Lady Pamela Fishing Fleet very busy here in Fort Lauderdale. Yesterday we had three trips, a morning trip, an afternoon trip and a nighttime tarpon charter.

Our morning trip aboard the Lady Pamela II started great, catching smaller baitfish like Bluerunners and Rainbow Runners. After everyone on board caught some baitfish, I led the Lady Pamela II to an edge in 150 ft of water with a smokin' north current. We trolled the edge for 7 miles catching loads on King Mackerel and Bonito fish. After two hours of non-stop action on the troll, we headed to 180 ft of water and flew live bait from the kites. The bite was almost instant but the fish managed to pull the hook and release itself. I knew the fish would come back around, which he did and Hunter did a great job reeling in his 50" Barracuda.

Trolling was attracting fish in the afternoon, but for some reason they weren't hooking themselves. Finally, after a million teases, Mike hooked a 30" Bull King and then the Kingfish and Bonito fish started pouring in.

Tarpon fishing in Fort Lauderdale is some of the best tarpon fishing in the world. Our morning trip with Hunter had such a good time they chartered the boat for the nighttime fishing as well. We left Lauderdale Marina around 6 PM and lost a 60lb Tarpon by 7 PM. Within 10 minutes of our Tarpon loss, we hooked a huge Nurse Shark. During the last hour of the trip we caught and expertly released a 28" Snook, jumped off another Tarpon and caught a Barracuda. I'd say Hunter had a great day of fishing in Fort Lauderdale.
