Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

In Fort Lauderdale fishing aboard the YB Normal we have been catching some very nice sized king mackerel and a few dolphin or mahi mahi on our deep sea fishing trips, there has been steady action fishing for these species just of the beautiful coast of Fort Lauderdale Florida. Our mahi have just started to show up due to the strong easterly winds which will bring seaweed snd push the fish closer inshore, the fish have been in anywhere from 400-800 feet of water best bet Is to look for seaweeds birds or anything floating, mahi are a very aggressive game fish and will eat pretty much anything.
The kingfish bite has been pretty good using planners to take baits down under the surface of the water, switches and bonito strips have been very productive as well as spoons, we have been trolling anywhere from 90-200 feet, while fishing for kingfish off of fort Lauderdale florida you can catch a variety of species including tuna, mahi, wahoo, and bonito, fishing has been very steady lately and should only get better and better as more fish migrate down the coast.
