Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Our Ft. Lauderdale fishing report is a bit on the weak side. We are having beautiful weather (not a cloud in the sky today and the sea conditions have lessened so that it is comfortable fishing here in Ft. Lauderdale again. Trouble is that the fishing is difficult. We have nice clean water and a decent current to the north. It all looks quite good but the fish are playing hard to get. A Kingfish or Sailfish here and there, a few Amberjacks, maybe a Dorado or two.

There is no pattern to the fishing right now and the few fish around are very scattered. As an example our last Sails were in 70 and 450 feet of water. That is a big spread and a lot of water between the two depths. Wish we had a stronger Ft. Lauderdale fishing report for you. We are fishing hard and trying for the best possible results. And some folks think a charter boat captain's job is all palm trees and bikinis. Tomorrow is another day.
Target Species:

Sailfish, Shark, Swordfish, Dolphin, Wahoo, Kingfish, Snapper, Grouper, Tuna, Barracuda, Marlin
