Ft Lauderdale Kids Fishing Fun

Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Ft. Lauderdale offers all kinds of fun for kids and fishing is certainly up there on the list. Whether they have fished or not doesn't seem to matter, nor does their age. There is just something about catching or just seeing a fish that gets them going, and that's just what we had with John the other day.
He showed up just before 8 am with Julia, Preston, Max and Steve, his son. While Steve had fished before and had caught some very awesome fish, the others had not.
Julia is a semi-pro snowboarder and one of those people that has to touch, has to see. Each fish we caught she was right there whether she was reeling or not.
Preston had a bunch of firsts this week. First plane ride, first BOAT ride and… first Sailfish of his life. Not a bad week for someone 13 years of age.
Max? We didn't get to talk much, he was below most of the time enjoying the heat? Nah, there must have been more.
I chose a group picture rather than the one of Preston with his Sailfish… These kids were a blast.

Just shows to go you, fishing fun and kids in Ft. Lauderdale is a natural.
I meant that. LOL
Target Species:

Sailfish, Shark, Dolphin, Tuna, Wahoo Kingfish, Bonito, Barracuda, Swordfish Marlin and more...
