Getting Ready For The Holidays In Fort Lauderdale

Capt. Vinnie Sacks
December 15, 2022
Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Hello everyone, Capt. Vinnie here, first off I would like to say that I hope everyone has a great holiday season and enjoys the time with there family, now for the fishing part, this week deep sea fishing in fort Lauderdale has been quite good there has been a fair amount of wahoo earlier in the week due to the full moon we had, everything was right lots of blue water, good current and some bait around to, which is a great recipe for some very good wahoo fishing. Trollling while using planners to take baits under the surface is always a great way to target these fish, early mornings are always the best for wahoo fishing, also wahoo is one of the best eating fish that we can catch here in fort Lauderdale, also this week there has been a very hot bottom fishing bite like I stated last week plenty of snapper around and triggerfish, lots of different kinds of snapper as well. Lane, vermillion, mutton, and yellowtail just to name a few. One other thing that seems to still be very productive right now is fishing live bait on deep wrecks, this time of year this technique is a great way to put some very larger fish in the box, amberjacks and grouper are at the top of the list right now while wreck fishing but there are some larger snappers that might participate as well. Dropping a live bait on deep shipwrecks heavy tackle is a must in order to drag the fish out of the structure, its gets your adrenaline pumping when you get a bite thats for sure. All in all fishing remains very consistent as we approach Christmas time, the only thing we have not seem much off recently is sailfish but I do think that bite is right around the corner here , bottom fishing still remains the most consistent technique but things change daily. This week be sure to check out some great photos we have of some recent catches caught during our deep sea fishing charters out of fort Lauderdale, and remember to follow us on social media platforms like Facebook and instagram @Ybnormalsportfishing for daily fishing content. If your coming down to fort Lauderdale for the holidays and looking to do some deep sea fishing be sure to check us out we would love to show you a good time on the water. Capt. Vinnie 954 559 4700
