Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report
This week on the YB Normal out of Fort Lauderdale Florida has been a busy one lots of fishing charters and some great people at that, let me start by saying it has been a hot one almost everyday but the fish are here and biting, this week we had some great people like ken from Stanford university here in fort Lauderdale for a huge volleyball tournament, and on his free day he decided to book a private charter just for himself to do some fishing, he is an avid fisherman back home but has never fished here in Fort Lauderdale, we took him out with our normal spread of surface baits and planners and the bite was on ken caught some very nice kingfish as well as bonitos and a very great eating blackfin tuna, ken decided to take some fish home to eat that night, nothing beats fresh fish, anyways we also had some great night fishing this week most of our night fishing charters we are limiting out on snapper, night fishing is a great way to get out and beat the heat and also catch some great eating fish as well, we have been catching mostly yellowtail snapper, as well as mangrove snapper and a few mutton snapper everyone of these fish is great to eat. During the weekend we took out our good friend Cal and his grand daughter and she had caught her first kingfish, no matter how young or old you are we can accommodate anyone! We also had a great family from the kendal Miami area that chartered us for a birthday party for there son who has fished many times in lakes around the area that they live but had never done any kind of ocean fishing, we were also able to put Tyler on his first ocean fish as well as the rest of his family.
