Great Weather, Lack of Current Slows Bite

Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report
The last few trips here in Fort Lauderdale, the fishing has been a little slow, but the weather is really, really nice. And nothing beats a nice day on the water.
The absence of any meaningful current in the area has made fishing a little slow. These challenging conditions make us work even harder to try and catch fish for our customers. It gets even harder on a half-day trip, but with quality live baits and our "never quit" approach, we know it's only a matter of time before our efforts pay off.
On one trip this week, Mike and is daughter from Alabama, joined us for a half-day trip. We decided to try some wreck fishing and our first stop was a wreck in 220'. Our first bait in the water - a goggle eye – produced a nice mutton snapper from the depths. After that initial victory, we tried a few more wrecks, but with no current, the bite just wasn't there. Next, we decided to slow troll some live pilchards and gogs - they produced some kingfish. To finish the trip, we switched to small feathers and caught some skipjack tunas and a few mahi. Considering the bite was off, we finished the fishing trip with some good eating fish for dinner.
The weather should remain the same for the upcoming week so give us a call we have a few openings during the Holidays. We'll try very hard to catch some quality fish, but no matter the bite, we'll have a good time on the water.
