It's May and that means the best action on big fish is around the wrecks. We're catching a lot of big amberjacks, some nice groupers, a few cobia and then some alpha predators such as barracuda and sharks. Every year around this time, the amberjacks and other big fish stack up around the wrecks to feast on the huge stock of baitfish that congregate there. Amberjacks are especially agressive. They rarely leave a bait unmolested for very long. An amberjack will inhale the bait as soon as it hits the bottom. Amberjacks can range anywhere from 5 pound up to 60 pounds and pound for pound, they are the strongest fish down there. Action fishing is the wrecks is great on both our 4 hour sportfishing charters and on the 8 hour all day trip. Let's go fishing!
