Capt. Vinnie Sacks

Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Hello everyone, Capt. Vinnie here hope everyone is doing well I have a great report for you this week plenty of action from top to bottom, we are going to start out with a great trip we had this week jigging, we recently had another jigging charter and caught some very nice amberjack and also a golden tilefish on a jig, as well as tunas and plenty of bonito, amberjacks are tough fighting fish that live on structure such as ship wrecks, which we have plenty of these of the coast of fort Lauderdale, also the trolling bite has been very good lately with lots of kingfish action as well as some tuna and wahoo, we have been getting most of our bites on our deep lines with planners, and the best depth for the king fish have been in 90-130 feet just on the edge of the reef.
For a night time report we have a nice catch this week with some nice yellow tail snapper as well as mangroves and other assorted reef fish, the night time fishing has been good as long as the wind is light and the seas are calm, the night fishing should continue to pick up as we approach the summer, we will start to see more mangrove snapper as well as a few mutton snapper to.
We hope to start seeing a few mahi mahi coming around in the next few weeks, we have some availability this week and would love to have you out fishing with us so if your in Fort Lauderdale give us a call!
more later….
