Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

The sailfish are swarming on the reef. The strong northeast winds really have them stirred up. We were kite fishing on the Out of the Blue today and caught 4 sailfish and missed 2 others. All the fish ate goggle eyes and we caught a nice dolphin today as well. Wahoo are also biting really good out there. We've caught a couple big ones this week on both the drift fishing trips and the sport fishing boats.

When the cold fronts strart coming through, the sailfish action will get even better and we'll start catching crazy numbers of them. Usually the second and third day of a cold front are the best days to catch sailfish. With all the sailfish and dolphin action we've had this week, it is awesome to think at how good the bite gets when the first real cold front moves through. It's going to be awesome. Good luck everybody.

Fort Lauderdale Fishing Forecast:

The sailfish action should continue and even improve in the next few weeks. The dolphin bite is still going strong, and last December was awesome for dolphin fishing. It will be interesting to see how long into December they stay this year. Scattered wahoo and blackfin tuna will also be biting in the weeks to come. Catch 'em up!
Target Species:

Sailfish, sailfish and sailfish... and anything else that bites.
