Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report
This morning we had a corporate outing that hung in there for the duration of the 6 hour charter. Waves were 3 - 5 with a hard north current. We popped the kites and went 2 - 4 on sailfish and 6 dolphin. All were smiles and insisted on chartering us again in the near future.
In the afternoon we had another 6 hour charter with the Gatti brothers from out west and conditions laid down a bit experiencing 1 - 3 foot waves so we trolled around and hooked a nice sailfish and the brothers traded off fighting the sailfish! Catch and released the beast. We continued trolling and hooked a small kingfish. Next we landed a huge kingfish for this time of year! It started getting dark and the brothers took Captain Kunta up on dropping on a wreck. Captain Kunta picked a wreck that he thought was holding and on the second drop it was fish on! We fought the beast for about 30 minutes on light tackle spinner and had a blast landing a trophy amberjack!
The brothers inner fishing core was satisfied and we headed back in. For fishing information or for tips for when you get out there call 954-638-6353.
