Last min fishing trip off South Florida turns out great

Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Dec 20

This morning we started out with a father and son team from South Florida we had Craig and his son Alex and we went out for a short 3-hour Deep sea fishing trip aboard the Hooked Up.

Who would have guessed that in about 2 hours of fishing we would have had such a great trip?

We started out trolling the reef with 2-planner board running about 50 feet down along with 3 baits skipping across the surface.
With in no time we had a hand full of king fish in the box.

Ok the skunk was out of the box so what the heck lets see if lady luck would continue to shine on us.

We brought in all the trolling gear and set out both kites with 2 live baits suspended from each kite.

Well today was just our day because within no time we had also caught a big barracuda along with the first sailfish they had ever caught.

Steve thanks again and we'll looking forward to fishing with you again in a couple weeks.

We pulled back to the dock and lady luck was still shinning on us. We had a couple of guys Pedro and Michel from Texas pull up and said they were looking to go deep-sea fishing.

So off we went on our second unexpected trip for the day.

This time we went right to kite fishing and YES it happen again a monster sailfish jumped on the line and we were Hooked Up again.

This one turned out to be a big 88 inch sail fish and all we could say was WOW it was just one of those days we could do no wrong.

We started out our day with no trips on the books and it turned out to be a banner day not just for today but we also developed some new repeat customers.

Guys thanks again for a great day of fishing off the coast of Fort Lauderdale aboard the Hooked Up.

Hi my name is Taco and I run one of the best charter fishing boats down here in South Florida. WHY? Because I’ve been fishing the waters down here since 1969 and I started at the bottom and worked my way up the ladder. I know what it is like to read a web site and than once you get to boat things are not as you thought they would be. Not here I say it like it is. No surprises. I’ve got a 45 foot Hatteras with a big cock pit. Fully aircondishened and refrigerated. Big comfortable platform.
