Lets Go Fishing in Fort Lauderdale

Capt. Vinnie Sacks
May 14, 2020
Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Hello everyone Capt. Vinnie here, hope everyone is doing well, this week has been somewhat slow due to the weather lots of heavy winds and big seas but we did make it out a few times before the weather got nasty. This week we had some great catches of tuna ranging from 10-20lbs we have a great picture of a tuna we caught on a vertical jig that weighted 18lbs, thats a lot of sushi. There has been a lot of kings and a few sailfish as well, I would expect the mahi fishing to be very very good after this front blows through so look for that in our next report, one thing I would like to talk about also is the shark fishing we did catch a very nice sized hammerhead shark on a recent sport fishing charter, Fort Lauderdale is a great place to do any king of shark fishing you would like and the month of May is prime time!
A night time snapper fishing report I have for you has been very good at the beginning of the week we had some heavy current which made it difficult to fish a lot of our deeper snapper spots so we had to resort to shallow water fishing but still managed a box of fish, we have a great photo this week of a nice catch of snappers a 4 person limit of fish.
We have some availability this week so give us a call to get out there and catch some great fish! more later…Capt. Vinnie 954 559 4700
