November Deep Sea Fishing In Fort Lauderdale

Capt. Vinnie Sacks
November 10, 2023
Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Hello everyone, Capt. Vinnie here, this week in Fort Lauderdale we had some pretty good inshore action going on right now so that's were we are going to start. So inshore right now has been hot lots of different species to be caught and a few different ways to catch them also. Sailfish has been showing up in good numbers chasing schools of live ballyhoo just off the coast of Fort Lauderdale, mixed in with the sailfish are some gaffer sized mahi mahi as well that are chasing the same baitfish, these gamefish have been chasing the schools of bait as close as the beach in 30 feet of water. Catching live bait specially ballyhoo is going to be the best thing to use If your looking to target sailfish right now. Light tackle spinning outfits have been the go to and either slow trolling live baits with circle hooks and fluorocarbon leaders or following birds and pitching live baits on the showering schools of bait. Also trolling has been productive right now to with some mahi mahi being caught anywhere from 80 feet on out to 160 feet as well as some nice sized kingfish in the mix and a few skipjack tunas as well. As far as an offshore report this week I don't have much to report except if you happen to find something floating like debris it has been like finding the motherload for mahi and wahoo as well, the mahi will eat pretty much anything on the surface but the wahoo are going to feed best on something just under the surface fished on a planner to take the bait down. Last but not least there has been a pretty good swordfish bite going on right now and November is a great month to get out there and give it a try if chasing a trophy swordfish is something your looking for. This week please be sure to check out some of the great photos we have of some recent catches while out on our deep sea fishing charters and please give us a like and follow on social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram @Ybnormalsportfishing for daily fishing content. This week coming up looks like the winds will continue to blow which should keep the sailfish bite steady as well as bring some more mahi right onto our coast, fishing should remain good so be on the look out for a future report. For the rest of the month of November we have availability so if your coming to Fort Lauderdale and looking to do some deep sea fishing we can accommodate you so look us up we would love to show you a great day on the water.
