November Fishing In Fort Lauderdale

Capt. Vinnie Sacks
November 3, 2022
Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Hello everyone, Capt. Vinnie here. we have a nice report this week starting on the inshore side of things there has been some very good mahi mahi action just on the outside of the reef edge, very good sized mahi mahi around 10 lbs have been steady trolling small surface baits like rigged ballyhoo or bonito strips is always a very good choice. Also mixed in there has been some early sailfish action beginning to show up which is a great sign for this winter season approaching. Still some kingfish action on the reef trolling remains to be the best bet for those guys. Wahoo should begin to show up pretty steady with the next few fronts that push through. Bottom fishing remains pretty hot for snapper and large amberjack, we have been catching some very nice sized vermillion snappers around deep structure as deep as 500 feet, alot of work to catch these fish but well worth it they are very tasty. There also has been some large amberjack on local shipwrecks just off the coast of Fort Lauderdale, live bait is the best option for these guys, if your looking for a fight they are in my opinion one of the hardest fighting game fish we have in fort lauderdale. Lots of action on the inshore fishing moving to the offshore report... not much mahi mahi out in the deep unless you find something floating then you have a good chance, there as been some skipjack and blackfin tuna on mostly birds in the afternoons small lures that resemble squid or flying fish have been best. Sword fishing has been very very good as of late, so good that it not being uncommon to catch multiple fish per trip. Right now is one of the best times to get out there and try to catch one if its something that your interested in doing, very very good to eating and a fish that is definitely considered a trophy fish. This week please be sure to check out some of our great photos of some recent catches during our deep sea fishing charters, and remember to give us a follow or social media platforms like facebook and instagram @Ybnormalsportfishing for daily fishing content. Lots of species of fish biting right off the coast of fort Lauderdale which makes it a great time to come down and do some deep sea fishing, Still some availability for the month of November so give us a shout we would love to show you a good time...more later
