Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Sails on the Increase
Last week my wife and I spent some time in New York to see some good friends. The good news is the weather was getting colder each day with temperatures getting below 50 degrees. That means the annual fall run of gamefish are heading our way. There are already reports of multiple Sailfish hook-ups. Now is the time to break out the kites and dangle some good baits. With the Sailfish there have also been some Dolphin being caught on the outside edge.
Last month I got a good report from some fisherman up north that were catching 300 pound Swordfish. Those fish will be swimming to our southern grounds for the winter. You can count on quite a few Swordfish over 300 pounds coming to the scales this season.
My boat is rigged and ready for this season. Alot of Sailfish tournaments are approaching in the next few months. Hopefully the New lattitude team can pull off a win this year.
Don't forget how beautiful and tranquil the ocean can be. Come and book a charter on the New Lattitude mornings or evenings and enjoy the awsome outdoors!
Till next Tide,
Captain Cary Hanna
