Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

November 15th update
After some serious winds last week we finally got a chance to start fishing on Friday the 12th. I fished with some good ol boys from Gorgia and had a great time. We caught 3 Dolphins all in the same school of 10-12 pounders which resulted from a good team effort. Then a couple of Kingfish in the 10-12 pound class came aboard. To finish off the day we found a great looking rip with a strong color change. We fished the clean side slow trolling our pilchards. After a little while one of the baits starts getting pulled on gently then she ripped line off the reel as fast as a passing train, Sailfish on.
Friday night was the night to go Swordfishing. Quite a few were caught, I heard of one upwards of 170 pounds from the fleet. Our shot was Saturday night. I went out with Scott from Brooklyn and his brother, both were eager to get on a Swordfish. Within the first hour we had on a nice fish. He ate a squid on one of the deep lines and ran like the Devil. I got the hook set and Scott's brother was on the rod. After about 10 minutes we came unglued. Oh well, that's fishin. Next we had a shark bite that ate one of our Goggle eye baits but we never came tight.
The winds have started up again since Sunday. We have another Sword trip planned as soon as the wind lays down. Let's get em!
