Fort Lauderdale, Florida - Saltwater Fishing Report

Capt. Andy Roydhouse
March 5, 2002
Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

We made it to March. It's winter but still pretty nice weather. We are into a bit of a cold front, lots of wind and cool temps in the 40's-50 at nght. This is helping to send a few new victims with gills into our area. Th breeze kept us inshore a few days during the past week, the Jack Crevalles and Barracuda did help to keep the rods bent.

Ouside the inlet the Kingfish are still making a guest appearance and a Sailfish jumps the baits once in a while. The Dolphin are passing through quickly and a few Hammerhead Sharks are cruising the surface. This is building to the April/My peak we get here each year.
