Fort Lauderdale, Florida - Saltwater Fishing Report

Capt. Andy Roydhouse

Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

The spring weather is showing itself this week. We are into our 5th day of stiff winds and it looks like a few more to come. This is making for some choppy seas but this is what the fish like. We caught a nice Kingfish and a stubborn Sailfish this morning on our first drift. After releasing the Sail the angler opted to head back to shore early. This is the time of year that the fish start heading north. It seems that they are the process of passing through our waters at this time. Dolphin, Blackfin Tuna, Bonita and Barracuda are some of the others that make appearances. This pattern should continue to keep the rods bent for the next few weeks.

Sea Ya,

Captain Ron Mallet
