Fort Lauderdale, Florida - Saltwater Fishing Report

Capt. Andy Roydhouse
February 5, 2007
Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

The weather has played a big role in the action we get each day. Overall the last month has been quieter than past winters because the weather has been great. Water temps are still up there and the migration has been slower then usual. It doesn't mean we are getting zipped, just that there is more waiting on most days in between bites. We did score with Sailfish on all trips this past week and that is a good sign. We also got a taste of winter here and more is on the way. Yesterdays outing gave us 5 Sailfish bites in the last hour of the morning. A few Kingfish, Dolphin and Bonita are mixed in too. The inshore scene is made up of Barracuda and Jack Crevalles for those that don't want to venture into the ocean. The bite has been consistent as long as you get out there in the morning and have moving tides.

Sea You,

Captain Ron Mallet
