Fort Lauderdale, Florida - Saltwater Fishing Report

Capt. Andy Roydhouse
March 7, 2007
Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

I guess winter never made a big showing, feels like spring already. We had some record high temps this week and south breeze that gets the fish heading north again. A mix of Sailfish, Kingfish and Dolphin made up the offshore scene this past week. No real big days but a pick of them each day. The bait fish were getting chased around and when they were chased to your boat, the rods went off!

Inshore the Barracuda and Jack Crevalles bit well. We took the light rods along and they were put to good use. The combo of live bait and lighter weekday traffic kept us busy.

Sea Ya,

Captain Ron Mallet
