Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Sailfishing Fort Lauderdale

Sailfishing is heating up right now off the Fort Lauderdale coast. Cooler temps air and water temps have stimulated the fish on their migration south. January and February are our two peak months for these gamefish. We practice catch and release on the Local Knowledge and encourage others to do the same. We are using live baits to target the sails either goggle eyes, ballyhoos or speedos. Today we only fished for one hour due to choppy seas but our lucky angler Kenny managed to catch a beautiful sailfish which swam away unharmed after his experience. Great Job Kenny! Call me, Capt. Mike to reserve your date today 954 522 4773.
