Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Sharks, Kingfish, Bonita’s and Dolphin
The past two weeks have been good one day and slow the next day.
Trolling on the reef, we are able to catch plenty of Bonita’s with a few Kingfish mixed in. Live baiting the Kingfish has produced a few nice sized fish up to 25 lbs.
Offshore the Dolphin have been anywhere for 3 miles off to 15 miles off. One day we caught 30 and the next day we were lucky to catch one. Most of the fish have been “schoolies”.
The Sharks have been biting around the wrecks. We have been catching a few Spinner Sharks, Hammerheads and even a big Blacktip Sharks this week.
I’ve seen a few Sailfish free-jumping in 60’ to 200’ of water. They have not been biting very good.
The Swordfishing was slow the past two weeks. However the past 3 nights the other boats have reported 2 to 4 bites a night. We will be out fishing for them this next week. SO stand by for a good report.
Catch-em-up,
Capt. Kunta
