Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Navy work!

Sorry about no reports for the past 3 weeks. We had the Navy charter us to do a lot of “research work.”

For this time a year, it was a job we couldn’t pass up.

We did get out Swordfishing this week. We went 2 for 5 on Saturday night and 2 for 4 on Sunday night. The fish were all from 40 lbs to 110 lbs. We were using squid for bait and the baits were set at 100’ down. Most of the bites were with-in the first hour of fishing each night.

The King Mackerel and Bonitos are still on the reefs and a few Dolphin (Mahi-mahi) were still being caught offshore.

I will be fishing everyday this week and I will let you know how the fishing is soon!

Catch-em-up,

Captain Kunta
