Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Sailfish, Swordfish and Kingfish

The weather has been great for Sailfishing. North winds and the fish are here. We have been catching one or two a trip when the charter wants to fish for them.

Some guests want to catch eating fish. We have been catching Kingfish trolling and live-baiting for the bigger fish. All the fish are South of the inlet around the Dania "Stink hole."

With the hard NE winds, a lot of "gaffer" sized Dolphin (Mahi-mahi) have been showing up on the edge. Trolling and kite-fishing have been the best.

In the past two weeks, we have had two nights of decent enough weather to get out Sword-fishing. In the two nights there were a lot of fish caught. Even a few more stories of long battles with the fish winning. Lots of fish between 40 and 150 lbs being caught.

Let's go fishing!

Catch-em-up,

Captain Kunta
