Fort Lauderdale, FL - Offshore

Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

The storms have passed and were still here catching fish!

Usually after a storm, the fishing gets good and this time it’s true.

We have caught our limit of King Mackerel, some nice sized Mahi-mahi and Barracudas, trolling the reefs and out to 600’ of water.

The wind blew NE for a couple of days and the Sailfish showed up. We caught one and some Mahi-mahi live baiting with the kites and another boat caught three Sailfish later that day.

The Amberjacks are still on the wrecks and some decent grouper too.

Some Bull Sharks are still on the wrecks and a few Spinner Sharks are following the bait down the beach.

The Tarpon are at the jetties along with some Jack’s and if you get lucky a decent Snook or two. They are waiting for the bait that comes by and into the Port.

The Swordfishing is good as long as this weather cooperates.

Let’s go fishing!

Captain Kunta
