Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

We had Crystal and her sister Mandy from Ottawa fish with us last night and we had a blast! The current was about 1.5 knots north with a south east wind. We trolled south for a while bouncing around in depth from 120 to 200 only mustering up 2 baby barracudas we threw back to fight another day. I decided to see whats happening in shallow and trolled on in to 85 feet and up ahead I saw a huge patch of grass in about 75 feet. Now usaully, a patch of grass in that shallow doesn't have that much bearing. It just felt right and next thing you heard was mate Jeff screaming sailfish on! The sailfish bit the long and it was on like donkey kong!

The girls had a blast catching the Sailfish upon the Reel Appeal deep sea fishing Fort Lauderdale. For fishing information or for tips for when you get out there call 954-638-6353.
