Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Kingfish have dominated our Fort Lauderdale fishing Charters the past week or so. Most fish are in the 5-15lb range with a few fish up to 40lbs. caught recently.
Mixed in with the kingfish are sailfish, dolphin, cobia, blackfin tunas, bonitas, and baracudas. When a nice edge has formed the sailfish have been around in good numbers. We have caught up to 3 in a half day and left them biting. Best bet for the tunas is fishing really early or late. The great tuna action from past couple of weeks has fizzled but enough are around to target them early and late in the day. The dolphin have been on the smaller size but there are still a few keepers mixed in to keep your hopes up for a good meal. We caught 1 cobia in the last week but we only fished the wrecks once so it could be worth some time if you are looking for a good fight and great meal.
Offshore of Ft. Lauderdale the swordfishing remain consistent during the day and night. Daytime fishing remains good with a good amount of fish from 50-200lbs being caught. Night time has brought more fish in the 50-75lb range but a little more action and less heat of the day. While daytime swordfishing has brought a bunch of dolphin whie waiting for a bite.
Its a great time for a Ft. Lauderdale fishing charter so give us a call...954-445-1732.
