Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

This morning we had a shared charter with the Dicarlo's, Whitley's and Bill Frerichs. Bill fished with us last year and had a blast although he had to watch someone else catch his desired trophy fish that he had been trying to catch for the past 10+ years. This trip was different.
We were still experiencing south current with south winds although today the winds died down a bit making it a bit more pleasant. We started off catching some bullets and after we had enough Mate Joe rigged up the live baits and fired them out on Captain Kunta's command. It took a while but Dicarlo got his shot and reeled in the first real catch of the day landing a huge Kingfish! It didn't take to much longer after the kingfish catch for Bill's trophy fish to pile on the the live bait. It took a while for Bill to finally land his trophy sailfish catching it doing standup with the belt on a spinner have the time of his life!

Today was a very special day. Congrats Bill! Nice catch!
