The big game fish are snapping this month off the coast of Fort Lauderdale. May and June are the months for giants off the south Florida coast. We catch some of our biggest fish this time of the year. Sailfish, swordfish and many different species of sharks are catches that we have this time of year. This week along, our various fishing charters have some monster sharks, including hammerhead sharks, thresher shark, bull sharks, nurse and sand bar sharks. Pretty awesome that we catch all these big game sharks just a mile offshore. We also had a daytime swordfishing charter the other day and landed a nice swordfish, approximately 90 pounds. I like daytime swordfishing this time of year because it gives us the best chances of catching the bigger swordfish. Night swordfishing may catch more swordfish but the day trips almost always catch the biggest of them. No matter what you fish for, this is the time for giants. Fish heavy gear, fish big and the big fish will come. Good luck everyone.
