Loic and Corrine Pressac came all the way from France to do some deep sea charter sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Three months before arriving at Fort Lauderdale, the Pressac did their research and got in touch with the Top Shot Sportfishing team for their charter sport fishing expedition.

When the Pressac's arrived, they were greeted by the Top Shot Sportfishing team. I asked them what they were interested in catching and their reply was, "We have waited 3 months for this charter, you decide for us."

On our way out, we stopped to purchase a dozen live Goggle Eyes from T&T Bait. From there, we headed out to the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale in 120 ft. of water, 1.8 miles from shore. We started out trolling with two #8 plainers down, one with a 3 ½ blue reflector drone spoon and the other with a pink and blue sea witch in front of a double hooked Bonito strip. For surface baits, we went with two Ballyhoos and two Bonito strips. We trolled the reefs back and forth, and the angler took turns bringing in Kingfish, Bonitos and Tunas.

I heard a report about some scattered sargassum weeds from one of the charter fishing boats that was ½ mile from us, and headed out that way. Once we got to the spot, I found some birds working the area. The anglers took turns reeling in Mahi Mahi's, a total of 8 Mahi Mahi's, all gaffers, one weighing in at 28 lbs.

With a total of 8 Kingfish, 1 Tuna, 7 Bonitos and 8 Mahi Mahi's, it was time to head back to the dock. The anglers retired into the a/c salon and enjoyed the relaxing trip back to the dock at Bahia Bar Yachting, 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale 33316. Dave, our mate, filet out the Mahi Mahi's for tonight's dinner.
