Max Knull, along with his two children, Benjamin, age 12, and Martina, age 8, from Argentina chartered the Topshotfishing team to do some deep sea big game sport fishing in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. We had winds out of the east at 5-10 mph, seas running 2-3 feet with temperatures in the mid 80's. As Max came on board the boat, he was welcomed by the Topshotfishing team. I asked Max what type of fish he is interested in targeting and he replied that this charter is for my two children – please catch them any type of fish.

Fifteen minutes after leaving the dock, lines were in 120 ft. of water at the sea buoy in Fort Lauderdale, 1.8 miles from shore. If you venture out another ¼ of a mile, you will find yourself in 500 ft. of water due to our extreme drop off. We started off trolling with two #8 plainers down, one with a 3 ½ blue reflector drone spoon and the other with a brown and orange sea witch in front of a double hooked Bonito strip. For surface baits we had two Ballyhoos and two Bonito strips.

As Max assumed his position with camera in hand, he waited for our first strike to occur for filming the action. Benjamin was our first angler – the plainer rod tripped and Benjamin reeled in his first fish of the day – a nice Kingfish. Martina was up next – the plainer rod was hooked up again. I told our mate, Dave, to leave the rod in the covering board for Martina to make it easier for her to reel in the fish. After a few minutes, Martina reeled in 4 ft. Barracuda, with jaws snapping while David held the fish securely for Dad to take the picture. Martina's enthusiasm and joy was very rewarding for the crew to witness. All in all, the two children alone reeled in six (6) Kingfish and five (5) Barracudas. Max was thrilled and excited that his children successfully reeled in their fish had a great time doing so.

It was time to head back to the dock, so the anglers retired into the well appreciated a/c salon. Max and the children enjoyed watching the TV in the salon and relaxing on the trip back to the dock at Bahia Bar located at 801 Seabreeze Blvd. Fort Lauderdale 33316.
