Fort Lauderdale - Saltwater Fishing Report

Hello everyone Capt. Vinnie here, pretty good report this week for you guys but I must say a little on the chilly side for us here in Fort Lauderdale Florida, we have seen a few days with temps as low as 46 degrees thats cold for us maybe not cold for our guests though, anyways lets get to the report, This week overall fishing has been somewhat decent seems everyday there are quality fish to catch you put the time in to get them, fishing on the reef has produced bonito as well as some kingfish, fishing planers has been the best way to get bites, using ballyhoo on the planers as well as small spoons has been the best way to get some action, just off the reef if you can find the edge there has been wahoo, one of my favorite fish to catch and eat. When we refer to the edge that is where the gulfstream water meets and forms a tide line with northern current, usually on the edge there is clean blue gulfstream water and strong current. Fishing around this is a great place to locate pelagic fish like wahoo, mahi mahi, as well as sailfish. You never know what you will catch in the deep so you always have to be ready. In the afternoons there has been a pretty good blackfin tuna bite. Tuna have very good eye sight and big eyes so low light conditions are always best for them. Be sure to check out some of the great photos we have this week of Steve and his Dad with some great wahoo and blackfin tuna they caught on a recent deep sea fishing charter out of beautiful Fort Lauderdale Florida. Anyways we do have some availbitly this week so if you do come to Fort Lauderdale please look us up and come fishing you will enjoy it. As always remember to follow us on instagram @Ybnormalsportfishing for daily fishing reports... more later Capt. Vinnie 954 559 4700
